Pilot in Command (Challenger 650)

Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and subsidiary of NetJets, is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 650 aircraft based in Atlanta, GA (KPDK). This position operates under Part 91 regulations.

Purpose of Position

The Pilot in Command holds final responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The successful candidate will maintain company and regulatory standards while delivering an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Operations and Safety

  • Ensure crewing and trip assignments remain compliant with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Execute flight planning, performance, and weight and balance calculations for each mission.
  • Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to conduct thorough briefings and mitigate operational risks.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and act as the designated Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-flight inspections, monitor maintenance status, and accurately record aircraft discrepancies.
  • Oversee aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen management.
  • Conduct professional passenger briefings and provide superior service, including accommodations for passengers with special needs.
  • Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to maintain clear communication during all flight phases.

Service Excellence

  • Provide high-quality service to passengers and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the EJM experience.
  • Resolve service deviations and collaborate effectively with crew members and internal partners.

Compliance and Proficiency

  • Maintain all regulatory training and recency of experience requirements.
  • Participate in the company Safety Management System (SMS) and report all safety or compliance concerns.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 4–6 years of aviation experience.
  • Certification: FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet.
  • Minimum Flight Requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3,500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
  • Preferences: Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
