Lear 60 Pilot in Command (Captain)

Position Summary

The Lear 60 Captain serves as the final authority on the aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational compliance. As the face of Jetvia, the Captain provides technically accurate flight operations while delivering an exceptional service experience for our executive clientele. This is a home-based position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the aircraft safely during all phases of flight, including taxi, take-off, and landing, in strict accordance with FAA guidelines and Jetvia Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Conduct comprehensive flight planning, including weather analysis for destinations and alternates, aircraft weight and balance calculations, and fuel performance planning.
  • Manage the guest experience, including pre-flight greetings, safety briefings, itinerary verification, and providing inflight updates.
  • Exercise final authority (Pilot in Command) regarding all areas of operation and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and direct the First Officer and coordinate all assigned crew functions.
  • Serve as the Inflight Security Coordinator and represent Jetvia to executive clients and partners.
  • Maintain aircraft presentation and perform all required pre-flight inspections.
  • Communicate maintenance discrepancies and complete all required flight documentation accurately.

Qualifications

Required

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time with 500 hours multi-engine time.
  • Lear 60 Type Rating with 300 hours Lear 60 PIC.
  • Reside within driving distance of designated Jetvia crew bases (ATL, AUS, BNA, BOS, BWI, CLT, DAL, DCA, DEN, DFW, ELP, EWR, FLL, HOU, IAD, IAH, JFK, LAS, LAX, LGA, MDW, MIA, MSP, OAK, ORD, PBI, PHL, PHX, SAT, SEA, SFO, SLC, STL).
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to perform all duties related to aircraft operation and passenger service.
  • Availability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and rotating holidays.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3,000 hours total flight time and 1,000 hours multi-engine time.
  • Previous Part 135 operational experience as Pilot in Command.
