Key Responsibilities

The Lead Captain takes ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft and the management of the flight crew. Primary duties include:

  • Ensuring safe and efficient flight operations, including comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
  • Conducting meticulous flight planning, weather analysis, and route assessment to make informed operational decisions.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to crew members, including conducting performance reviews and coordinating training schedules.
  • Promoting a robust safety culture through adherence to industry best practices and conducting professional passenger briefings.
  • Managing all flight-related documentation, maintaining aircraft manuals, and assisting with crew recruitment.
  • Collaborating with maintenance teams to promptly address and resolve aircraft discrepancies.
  • Maintaining an expert-level working knowledge of all aircraft systems to ensure precision during flight operations.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria:

  • Certification: Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Medical: Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Flight Experience: Minimum of five years in aviation with 3,500 hours of total fixed-wing time.
  • Flight Hour Breakdown:
    • 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
    • 1,500 hours Multi-Engine
    • 500 hours Turbo-Jet
    • 500 hours Turbine
    • 100 hours Night
    • 75 hours Simulated Instrument
  • Education: High school diploma is required.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Availability: Ability to work a variable schedule and travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Vision: Ability to maintain sharp vision across various ranges and depths.
  • Environment: Exposure to diverse settings including heavy maintenance hangars, upscale customer lounges, and active flight lines. Occasional exposure to high noise levels, vibrations, fuel fumes, and seasonal temperature extremes.
