Position Summary

The International Cabin Attendant is responsible for the comfort and convenience of passengers during flight operations. This role encompasses comprehensive catering management, cabin safety, and various administrative and training functions during non-flight periods.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate under the guidance of the Pilot in Command (PIC) for daily operations.
  • Report cabin discrepancies and maintenance issues to the PIC for formal documentation.
  • Coordinate with pilots, maintenance, and cleaning crews to maintain aircraft cleanliness and service standards.
  • Execute preflight inspections of all cabin equipment.
  • On Part 91 flights: ensure passenger compliance with federal regulations, provide safety briefings, and manage emergency, medical, or evacuation procedures.
  • Operate emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, life rafts, oxygen systems, and automated external defibrillators (AED).
  • Assist passengers with cabin management systems, carry-on luggage, and seating requirements, including assistance for passengers with disabilities and children requiring restraints.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of aircraft service equipment and procedures.
  • Ensure the cabin, bedding, and locker areas remain orderly.
  • Manage interior procurement, menu planning, weather card preparation, and beverage/meal service.
  • Develop and maintain standard stock; source vendors for cabin, lavatory, and galley supplies.
  • Prepare aircraft according to specifications prior to each flight.
  • Generate client profile updates, post-trip reports, catering reports, and necessary administrative documentation.
  • Develop and maintain aircraft-specific manuals and manage expense accounts.
  • Maintain currency in all required training, including annual recurrent safety, medical, and company indoctrination.
  • Supervise or train contract and part-time cabin crew members as needed.
  • Represent the company as a Brand Ambassador internally and externally to industry groups and regulatory bodies.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Four years of experience in a similar role; minimum of two years in culinary or high-end food service.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Current Flight Safety International or equivalent corporate cabin attendant recurrent training.
  • MedAire Management of Inflight Illness and Injury certification or equivalent CPR/AED certification.

Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands/fingers to handle or reach. The role requires the ability to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds is required, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds overhead. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to focus.

Work Environment

The role operates within both heavy maintenance and upscale customer environments. Noise levels range from moderate to loud. Exposure to vibrations, occasional fuel fumes, and various weather conditions is expected. The hangar environment may experience extreme seasonal temperature variations.
