The Commander leads the flight crew, ensuring successful flight operations and maintaining high service quality standards. Operator Conversion Courses are scheduled to commence in spring 2026.
Responsibilities
The Commander holds overall responsibility for safe and efficient flight operations, prioritizing punctuality and economic performance. Key duties include:

Operating in alignment with the operational philosophy of Edelweiss.

Maintaining a high standard of service quality for passengers.

Supervising and mentoring crew members to ensure a high standard of performance.

Conducting flight preparation and execution in accordance with legal regulations.

Maintaining comprehensive and current knowledge of systems, flight procedures, and operations.
Requirements

EASA ATPL license with A350 Type Rating.

Minimum of 5,000 flight hours, including experience in long-haul operations.

Minimum of 1,500 hours of Commander experience on Airbus A3XX aircraft.

Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.

Proficiency in German (minimum C1 level) and English (B2/ICAO Level 4).

Citizenship of Switzerland or an EU-27/EFTA country.
