Position Overview:
The King Air Pilot in Command is responsible for all aspects of flight operations, including pre-flight planning, aircraft inspection, and safe execution of flights throughout Nebraska, Kansas, and beyond. Full-time pilots can expect an average of 15-17 flying days per month, primarily consisting of weekday trips with nightly returns to Lincoln.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assuming full responsibility for all aspects of the flight, including delegating tasks to the Second-in-Command while maintaining overall accountability.
- Gathering and analyzing all necessary weather and flight planning information.
- Ensuring the aircraft is loaded within weight and balance limitations.
- Proficiently utilizing Electronic Flight Bag technology and digital planning software.
- Performing pre-flight inspections to verify airworthiness and compliance with required maintenance schedules.
- Diligently adhering to flight-time and duty-time regulations as stipulated by CFR ยง 135 and the Silverhawk Aviation Operations Manual.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1500 hours total flight time.
- Minimum 50 hours multi-engine flight time.
- FAA Commercial Pilot License with a Multi-Engine rating (ATP preferred, but Silverhawk Aviation provides assistance in obtaining an ATP if needed).
- Valid Passport.
- 90-day currency.
- Clean FAA record.
- Willingness to relocate to within 1 hour of Lincoln Airport (KLNK).
