Job Description: First Officer
The First Officer is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict accordance with the Company Operational Manual and all applicable Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. The primary focus is to ensure the utmost safety, security, and efficiency throughout all flight operations. This role involves actively supporting and guiding the flight and cabin crew, effectively managing emergencies and unforeseen scenarios, and maintaining command of the flight to ensure successful performance and uphold a positive corporate image. The First Officer operates aircraft between destinations according to established schedules and approved flight plans, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.
Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:
- Minimum of 750 flying hours on the A320 family of aircraft. Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is preferred.
- Possession of valid licenses, a valid Class 1 medical certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at or above Level 4.
- Appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or ATPL (preferred) License.
- Successful completion of technical, psychometric, and medical fitness assessments for pilots as per Company and CAA standards.
- Essential training in safety and emergency response; formal qualifications are advantageous.
- Training in basic airport and security procedures and regulations is considered an advantage.
- Crew Resource Management (CRM) training is considered advantageous.
- Knowledge of IATA principles and standards related to security is advantageous.
- Proficiency in aircraft systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and web search.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including technical report writing and presentation delivery.
- Experience with low-cost airlines is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers an undetermined period contract with a competitive compensation package, calculated based on Second-in-Command (SIC) flight hours, all figures in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
- Total Fixed Salary: Ranges from PKR 380,000/month (0-500 SIC hours) to PKR 1,534,000/month (3750+ SIC hours).
- Salary Breakup:
- Basic Salary: PKR 70,000 to PKR 350,000, based on SIC hours.
- Fixed Flying Allowance: PKR 45,500 to PKR 250,000, based on SIC hours.
- Housing Allowance: PKR 60,000 to PKR 150,000, based on SIC hours.
- Other Allowances: PKR 2,500 to PKR 284,000, based on SIC hours.
- Conveyance Allowance: PKR 50,000 to PKR 70,000, based on SIC hours.
- Medical Allowance: PKR 7,000 to PKR 35,000, based on SIC hours.
- Settling Allowance: PKR 100,000/month (discretionary).
- Seniority Allowance: PKR 50,000/month (discretionary).

- Seniority Allowance: Starting at PKR 50,000/month for First Officers, increasing annually to a cap of PKR 150,000.
- Command Upgrade: PKR 250,000/month for Captains upon meeting A320F flying hours (3,500+), proficiency checks, and training requirements.
- Insurance Deduction: PKR 5,000/month.
- Fuel Card: Provided to A320 pilots with 500+ hours, capped at PKR 30,000/month.
- SIM Card: Provided to A320 pilots with 500+ hours, capped at PKR 5,000/month (excess deducted).
- Flying Variable Pay (per Credit Block Hour):
- 1–30 hours: PKR 5,000/hr
- 31–60 hours: PKR 8,500/hr
- 61–85 hours: PKR 12,000/hr
- 86–100 hours: PKR 14,000/hr
- 100+ hours: PKR 16,000/hr
- Flying Allowance: Guaranteed pay for 73 block hours/month, conditional on fulfilling 100% of assigned hours. Proportional deductions apply for excess leave or non-availability.
- Duty Hour Pay: PKR 1,000 per actual duty hour (sign-in to sign-out).
- Credit Hours:
- Day flights: Paid at 1x block hour allowance.
- Night flights (1830–0629): Paid at 1.3x block hour allowance.
- Off-Day Duty: PKR 10,000 compensation for rostered off-day duty, in addition to the Flying Allowance.
- Onboard Meal: Free meal for operating crew.
- Gratuity: One month’s fixed gross salary (including Flying Allowance) for every 12 months of service.
