First Officer - A320 Family
Role Summary
The First Officer is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict accordance with the Company Operational Manual and all relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. This pivotal role ensures the ultimate safety, security, and efficiency of all flight operations. The First Officer provides essential support and guidance to flight and cabin crew, effectively manages emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios, and maintains control of the aircraft to ensure successful performance and uphold a positive corporate image.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates aircraft between designated destinations according to schedules and approved flight plans.
- Assumes ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during assigned flights.
- Prioritizes safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort in all operational decisions.
- Supports and guides the flight and cabin crew to ensure smooth operations.
- Effectively handles and resolves emergency and ad-hoc scenarios.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 750 flying hours on A320 Family aircraft.
- Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), with ATPL preferred.
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification, with a minimum of Level 4.
- Successful completion of technical, psychometric, and medical fitness assessments for pilots, adhering to Company and CAA standards.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Proficiency in aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation, and web search.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, including technical report writing and presentation skills.
Desirable Attributes
- Formal qualification in safety and emergency response.
- Training in basic airport and security procedures and regulations.
- Experience with Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards related to aviation security.
- Prior experience with a low-cost airline is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
This is an undetermined period contract position for a First Officer. The remuneration package is competitive and structured based on Second-in-Command (SIC) flying hours. All figures are in Pakistan Rupees (PKR).

Variable Flying Pay (Per Credit Block Hour)

- 100+ hours: PKR 16,000 per hour
Additional Benefits & Allowances
- Transport: Provided for all flight duties.
- Boeing Ex-Factored Hours: Previous Boeing flying hours are recognized at 50% (up to a maximum of 1,500 hours) for salary determination, combined with Airbus (A320/321/330) hours.
- Settling Allowance: A discretionary relocation support of PKR 100,000 per month, subject to annual review.
- Seniority Allowance: Commences at PKR 50,000 per month for First Officers and increases annually, capped at PKR 150,000.
- Command Upgrade Allowance: A discretionary allowance of PKR 250,000 per month for Captains who meet A320F flying hour requirements (3,500+), pass proficiency checks, and complete necessary training.
- Insurance Deduction: A monthly deduction of PKR 5,000 for insurance.
- Fuel Card: Provided to A320 pilots with over 500 hours, capped at PKR 30,000 per month.
- SIM Card: Provided to A320 pilots with over 500 hours, capped at PKR 5,000 per month (excess usage may be deducted).
Operational Allowances & Benefits
- Guaranteed Flying Allowance: Compensation is guaranteed for 73 block hours per month, contingent upon fulfilling 100% of assigned flying hours. Proportional deductions may apply for extended leave or non-availability.
- Duty Hour Pay: PKR 1,000 per actual duty hour (from sign-in to sign-out).
- Credit Hour Multipliers:
- Day flights: Compensated at 1x block hour allowance.
- Night flights (18:30 – 06:29): Compensated at 1.3x block hour allowance.
- Off-Day Duty Compensation: PKR 10,000 for rostered off-day duty, in addition to the standard Flying Allowance.
- Onboard Meal: Complimentary meals are provided for operating crew.
- Gratuity: One month's fixed gross salary (including Flying Allowance) for every 12 months of service.
