A320 Pilot
Position Summary
The Aviation Pilot is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict accordance with the Company Operational Manual and relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. The incumbent ensures the utmost safety, security, and efficiency are maintained throughout all flight operations. This role involves providing guidance and support to flight and cabin crew, effectively managing emergencies and unforeseen circumstances, and exercising ultimate authority over the flight to ensure successful performance and uphold the corporate image.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot operates aircraft between destinations according to established schedules and approved flight plans, holding ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during assigned flights. This encompasses prioritizing the following key factors, in order: Safety, Efficiency, and Passenger Comfort.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 750 flying hours on A320 Family aircraft is required. Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is preferred.
- Holds valid licenses, a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- Possesses valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at or above Level 4.
- Holds an appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or, preferably, an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Must successfully complete technical, psychometric, and medical fitness assessments for Pilots in accordance with Company and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) standards.
- Essential: Training in safety and emergency response. A formal qualification in this area is advantageous.
- Advantageous: Basic training in airport and security procedures and regulations.
- Advantageous: Training in Crew Resource Management (CRM).
- Advantageous: Knowledge of IATA principles and standards relating to security.
- Proficient knowledge of aircraft systems is required.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, internet, and web search tools.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including technical report writing and presentation abilities.
- Experience operating within a low-cost airline environment is highly desirable but not mandatory.
