Job Overview
Fly Jinnah, Pakistan's rapidly expanding airline, presents a compelling opportunity for skilled A320 Type-Rated Foreign/Expat pilots. This role involves a fixed-term contract, offering a chance to contribute to the operational excellence of a new and dynamic airline. The contract includes an initial training period followed by extensive flying duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate assigned aircraft between destinations, adhering strictly to schedules and approved flight plans, assuming ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during flight.
- Ensure all flights are conducted in full compliance with the Airline’s Operations Manual and all relevant aviation regulations, maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational integrity.
- Uphold professional standards of attendance, grooming, and fitness for duty for all assigned flights, ensuring the legality of both self and flight crew.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight briefings, ensuring all crew members are thoroughly informed of flight details and operational procedures, fostering effective communication and coordination.
- Collaborate closely with co-pilots and the dispatch team to prepare for each flight, ensuring flight and cabin crew are well-briefed and equipped with all necessary information, including technical aircraft status, route details, weather forecasts, weight and balance, and role assignments.
- Optimize fuel efficiency throughout each flight, operating within the safety parameters defined by the Airline’s Operations Manual.
- Oversee and ensure the completion of required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks by assigned flight and cabin crew before, during, and after each flight, taking decisive action and directing crew response in the event of any irregularities.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
- Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments as per airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Successful completion of a medical fitness check-up as per airline and civil aviation authority standards.
Advantageous Qualifications:
- Formal qualification in safety and emergency response.
- Training in basic airport and security procedures and regulations.
- Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards relating to aviation security.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 4,000 total flying hours.
- Minimum of 800 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on the Airbus A320.
- Demonstrated industry knowledge of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Experience with Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Security, and Audit procedures affecting flight operations.
- Proven ability to implement policies, procedures, and manuals in accordance with approved standards and regulations.
- Cost-conscious approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail and results.
Remuneration and Benefits
Salary Structure:
- Initial Training Period (approx. 3 months): AED 22,000 (approx. US$ 6,000) Net Monthly Salary plus Per Diem.
- Post-Training (up to 60 block hours/month): AED 33,800 (approx. US$ 9,200) Net Monthly Salary plus Per Diem.
- Flying Pay (above 60 block hours/month): AED 475 (approx. US$ 130) per block hour.
- Per Diem: AED 184 (approx. US$ 50) per day (averaging approx. US$ 1,500/month) for food and miscellaneous expenses.
Accommodation:
Suitable hotel accommodation provided on a Bed & Breakfast basis at base and layover stations. Includes personal laundry service (4 pieces of clothing per day).
Transportation:
Ground transportation provided between accommodation and airport/office for all rostered duties.
Travel Benefits:
- Economy class air tickets arranged and paid by the company at the commencement and end of the contract, with 50kg baggage allowance.
- Unlimited standby tickets on the Air Arabia group network during the contract period.
- Eligibility for MYID travel benefits after completing 6 months of service.
Uniforms & Laundry:
Uniforms and laundry service provided for the duration of the contract.
Roster & Leave:
- Entitlement of 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service (accrues at 2.5 days per month).
- Paid vacation granted after successful completion of initial training and line flying release in the UAE, and commencement of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan.
- Paid vacation days will be combined with rostered days off, ensuring a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days per month.
