First Officer - A320 Family
Job Purpose
The First Officer conducts assigned flights strictly in accordance with the detailed provisions of the Company Operational Manual and in full compliance with relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. The role demands ensuring ultimate safety, security, and efficiency throughout all operated flights. The First Officer supports and guides the flight and cabin crew, effectively handles emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios, and maintains control over the flight to ensure successful performance and contribute to a positive corporate image.
Flying the aircraft from one destination to another according to given schedules and approved flight plans, the First Officer carries out their duties and acts as the ultimate responsible person for the aircraft during assigned flights, prioritizing key factors in the following order: Safety, Efficiency, and Passenger Comfort.
Experience, Qualifications and Requirements
The successful candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 750 flying hours on A320 Family aircraft. An Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is preferred.
- Valid licenses, a valid Class 1 Medical certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- A valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at or above Level 4.
- An appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL, preferred).
- The ability to pass technical, psychometric, and Medical Fitness check-up assessments for Pilots as per Company and CAA standards.
- Training in safety and emergency response; a formal qualification in this area is an advantage.
- Basic Airport, security procedures, and regulations training is considered an advantage.
- Crew Resource Management (CRM) training is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of IATA principles and standards relating to security is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Aircraft systems, Microsoft Office suite, Internet, and Web Search.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English, including technical report writing and presentations.
- Experience with a low-cost airline is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Flight Deck Crew Emoluments – First Officer

Details of Fixed Salary: (All figures in PKR - Pakistan Rupees)
Total Fixed Salary:
- 0-500 Second in Command (SIC) hours: PKR 380,000 per month.
- 501-1500 SIC hours: PKR 803,000 per month.
- 1501-3000 SIC hours: PKR 868,000 per month.
- 3001-3750 SIC hours: PKR 1,090,000 per month.
- 3750+ SIC hours: PKR 1,534,000 per month.
Salary Breakup Details:
- Basic Salary: Ranges from PKR 70,000 (0-500 SIC hours) to PKR 350,000 (3750+ SIC hours), increasing with flight hours.
- Fixed Flying Allowance: PKR 45,500 (0-500 SIC hours), increasing to PKR 200,000+ for those with 501+ SIC hours.
- Housing Allowance: PKR 60,000 (0-500 SIC hours), increasing to PKR 150,000 for those with 501+ SIC hours.
- Other Allowances: Ranges from PKR 2,500 (0-500 SIC hours) to PKR 284,000 (3750+ SIC hours), increasing with flight hours.
- Conveyance Allowance: PKR 50,000 (0-500 SIC hours), increasing to PKR 70,000 for those with 501+ SIC hours.
- Medical Allowance: Ranges from PKR 7,000 (0-500 SIC hours) to PKR 35,000 (3750+ SIC hours), increasing with flight hours.
- Settling Allowance: PKR 100,000 per month (discretionary).
- Seniority Allowance: PKR 50,000 per month (discretionary).

Additional Benefits and Allowances (Contd.):
- Boeing Ex-Factored Hours: Prior Boeing hours are counted at 50% (maximum 1,500 hours) for salary determination, combined with Airbus (A320/321/330) hours.
- Settling Allowance: Discretionary PKR 100,000 per month relocation support, subject to annual review.
- Seniority Allowance: Starts at PKR 50,000 per month for First Officers and increases annually up to a cap of PKR 150,000.
- Command Upgrade: PKR 250,000 per month for Captains upon meeting A320 Family flying hours (3,500+), proficiency checks, and training requirements.
- Insurance Deduction: PKR 5,000 per month.
- Fuel Card: Provided to A320 pilots with 500+ hours, capped at PKR 30,000 per month.
- SIM Card: Provided to A320 pilots with 500+ hours, capped at PKR 5,000 per month (excess deducted).

Flying Variable Pay (per Credit Block Hour):
- 1–30 hours: PKR 5,000 per hour
- 31–60 hours: PKR 8,500 per hour
- 61–85 hours: PKR 12,000 per hour
- 86–100 hours: PKR 14,000 per hour
- 100+ hours: PKR 16,000 per hour
Flying Allowance: Guaranteed pay for 73 block hours per month, conditional on fulfilling 100% of assigned hours. Proportional deductions apply for excess leave or non-availability.
Duty Hour Pay: PKR 1,000 per actual duty hour (Sign-in to Sign-out).
Credit Hours:
- Day flights: Paid at 1x block hour allowance.
- Night flights (1830–0629): Paid at 1.3x block hour allowance.
Off-Day Duty: PKR 10,000 compensation for rostered off-day duty, in addition to the Flying Allowance.
Onboard Meal: Free meal provided for operating crew.
Gratuity: One month’s fixed gross salary (including Flying Allowance) for every 12 months of service.
