Job Purpose

The Captain is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict adherence to the Company Operational Manual and all relevant Civil Aviation Authority regulations. The role demands an unwavering commitment to safety, security, and efficiency throughout every flight. The Captain will provide guidance and support to both the flight and cabin crew, effectively manage emergencies and unforeseen situations, and maintain control of the flight to ensure successful operations and uphold a positive corporate image. Furthermore, the Captain will operate the aircraft between destinations according to approved flight plans and schedules, acting as the ultimate authority onboard, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.

Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience.
  • A minimum of 800 hours PIC experience on the A320 family of aircraft.
  • A minimum of 5000 hours total flying experience.
  • Preference will be given to trainers with TRE, TRI, or LTC experience.
  • Valid licenses, a valid Class 1 medical certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
  • Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at level 4 or above.
  • An appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), with preference given to ATPL holders.
  • Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments, as well as a Company/CAA standard medical fitness check-up for pilots.
  • Essential training in safety and emergency response, with formal qualifications being advantageous.
  • Basic training in airport security procedures and regulations is advantageous.
  • Crew Resource Management training is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of IATA principles and standards related to security is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in aircraft systems, Microsoft Office Suite, internet and web search, technical report writing, and presentations.
  • Experience with low-cost airlines is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Flight Deck Crew Emoluments – Captain

This is an undetermined period contract position with a competitive fixed monthly salary based on total flight hours:

  • Less than 1500 hours: PKR 1,594,000
  • 1500 to 3000 hours: PKR 1,814,500
  • 3000+ hours: PKR 2,035,000

This total fixed salary is comprised of the following components:

  • Basic Salary: PKR 400,000 (less than 1500 hours), PKR 475,000 (1500-3000 hours), PKR 550,000 (3000+ hours).
  • Fixed Flying Allowance: PKR 400,000 (less than 1500 hours), PKR 475,000 (1500-3000 hours), PKR 550,000 (3000+ hours).
  • Housing Allowance: PKR 200,000 (fixed).
  • Other Allowances: PKR 209,000 (less than 1500 hours), PKR 272,000 (1500-3000 hours), PKR 335,000 (3000+ hours).
  • Conveyance Allowance: PKR 100,000 (fixed).
  • Medical Allowance: PKR 40,000 (less than 1500 hours), PKR 47,500 (1500-3000 hours), PKR 55,000 (3000+ hours).
  • Settling Allowance: PKR 150,000/month (discretionary).
  • Seniority Allowance: PKR 100,000/month, increasing to PKR 300,000 over time (discretionary).

Flight Deck Crew Emoluments – Captain (Contd.)

Variable pay per credit block hour:

  • 1 to 30 hours: PKR 8,000/hr
  • 31 to 60 hours: PKR 13,000/hr
  • 61 to 85 hours: PKR 18,500/hr
  • 86 to 100 hours: PKR 20,000/hr
  • 100+ hours: PKR 22,000/hr

A Flying Allowance Guarantee is provided, ensuring compensation for up to 73 block hours per month, contingent upon completion of 100% of assigned flying hours.

Duty hour pay is provided at PKR 1,000 per actual duty hour (sign-in to sign-out). Credit hour multipliers are applied:

  • Day flights: 1x allowance.
  • Night flights (1830-0629): 1.3x allowance.

Off-day duty is compensated with an additional PKR 12,000, plus the applicable Flying Allowance.

Additional benefits include:

  • Complimentary onboard meals for operating crew.
  • End-of-Service Gratuity: one month’s fixed gross salary for every 12 months of service.
