Job Summary

The Captain is entrusted with the critical responsibility of conducting assigned flights in strict adherence to the detailed provisions of the Company Operational Manual and in full compliance with all relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. The role mandates ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and operational efficiency are achieved throughout every flight. The Captain is required to provide support and guidance to the flight and cabin crew, effectively manage emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios, and maintain complete command and control over the flight to ensure successful performance and uphold the positive corporate image.

Operating aircraft from one destination to another according to given schedules and approved flight plans, the Captain acts as the ultimate person responsible for the aircraft during all assigned flights. This responsibility is exercised taking into account the following key factors, ordered by priority: Safety, Efficiency, and Passenger Comfort.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for the position of Captain must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on multi-pilot Turbojet aircraft.
  • Minimum of 200 hours PIC on A320 family aircraft.
  • Minimum of 5000 hours total flying experience on fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Preference will be given to trainers with TRE/TRI/LTC experience.
  • Possession of valid licenses, a valid Class 1 medical certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
  • Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at Level 4 or above.
  • Holding an appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), with ATPL being preferred.
  • Must successfully pass the technical and psychometric assessments, along with the Medical Fitness Check-up for Pilots, in accordance with Company and CAA standards.
  • Training in safety and emergency response is essential; a formal qualification in this area is considered an advantage.
  • Basic training in Airport and security procedures and regulations is an advantage.
  • Crew Resource Management (CRM) training is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of IATA principles and standards relating to security is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Aircraft systems is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet and Web Search is necessary, along with skills in Technical report writing and presentations.
  • Experience with a low-cost airline is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits - Captain

The position offers an undetermined period contract with an attractive emoluments package.

Fixed Salary (PKR - Pakistan Rupees per month):

Total Fixed Salary varies based on experience level:

  • <1500 hours: PKR 1,594,000
  • 1500–3000 hours: PKR 1,814,500
  • 3000+ hours: PKR 2,035,000

Detailed salary breakdown includes Basic Salary, Fixed Flying Allowance, Housing Allowance, Other Allowances, Conveyance Allowance, and Medical Allowance, with amounts varying by experience band. Discretionary allowances such as Settling Allowance and Seniority Allowance are also part of the package.

Variable Pay (per Credit Block Hour):

Tiered rates apply based on monthly flying hours:

  • 1–30 hours: PKR 8,000/hour
  • 31–60 hours: PKR 13,000/hour
  • 61–85 hours: PKR 18,500/hour
  • 86–100 hours: PKR 20,000/hour
  • 100+ hours: PKR 22,000/hour

Additional Compensation and Benefits:

  • Flying Allowance Guarantee: Guaranteed compensation for up to 73 block hours per month, contingent on completing 100% of assigned flying hours.

  • Duty Hour Pay: PKR 1,000 per actual duty hour (Sign-in to Sign-out). Credit Hour Multipliers apply: 1x for day flights and 1.3x for night flights (1830–0629).

  • Off-Day Duty: An additional PKR 12,000 plus Flying Allowance is provided if rostered on a scheduled off day.

  • Transport: Provided for all flight duties.

  • Onboard Meal: Free meal provided for operating crew.

  • End-of-Service Gratuity: One month's fixed gross salary awarded for every 12 months of service.
