Pilot (Captain)
Job Summary:
The Pilot is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict adherence to the detailed provisions of the Company Operational Manual and in full compliance with all relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. This role requires the highest standards of safety, security, and operational efficiency throughout all operated flights. The Pilot provides essential support and guidance to the flight and cabin crew, effectively manages emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios, and exercises ultimate control over the flight to ensure successful performance and maintain a positive corporate image.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts assigned flights according to established schedules and approved flight plans.
- Assumes ultimate responsibility for the aircraft and all personnel on board during assigned flights.
- Prioritizes flight operations based on the key factors: Safety, Operational Efficiency, and Passenger Comfort.
- Ensures compliance with all company procedures and aviation regulations.
- Provides leadership and support to the flight and cabin crew.
- Manages emergency situations and unforeseen circumstances effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5000 total flying hours.
- Minimum of 2000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Minimum of 800 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on the A320 family aircraft.
- Appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) - ATPL is preferred.
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at or above Level 4.
- Must successfully pass the required technical and psychometric assessments, and the Medical Fitness Check-up for Pilots in accordance with Company and CAA standards.
- Experience working with a low-cost airline is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven ability to conduct safe and efficient flight operations.
- Strong leadership and crew management skills (Crew Resource Management training is an advantage).
- Excellent decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
- Proficiency in Aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications (Microsoft Office) and technical report writing.
- Training in safety and emergency response is essential (a formal qualification is an advantage).
- Knowledge of basic airport and security procedures and regulations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards relating to security is an advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates with Trainer experience (TRE/TRI/LTC).
