Executive Jet Management is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 650 aircraft based in Columbus, OH (KCMH). This is a three-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 with a known schedule averaging approximately 275 flight hours annually.
The Pilot in Command holds final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional service.
Well-qualified candidates will be typed and experienced in the G650 and reside within two hours of Columbus, OH.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of flight, delivering an exceptional service experience, and maintaining proficiency and compliance. Key tasks include:
- Ensuring crew and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks as required.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel. Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completing aircraft pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status checks, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Recording aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished per SOPs.
- Completing passenger briefings per company policy and regulation. Delivering the highest level of customer service and meeting any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the service experience. Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolving conflict and challenges professionally.
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
