Position Overview:

Executive Jet Management is actively seeking a highly qualified Second in Command (SIC) pilot candidate for a Citation Sovereign aircraft based in St. Louis, Missouri (KSUS). This position is part of a well-established, high-performing 3-pilot flight department, benefiting from dedicated Maintenance Technician support and operating approximately 750 flight hours annually under EJM's Part 135 Certificate. This role presents an excellent opportunity to explore diverse destinations while delivering exceptional service standards within a professional flight operation.

The Second in Command bears responsibility for the welfare of passengers, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service throughout each flight. The SIC is expected to be fully trained and proficient in applicable Abnormal and Emergency procedures, as well as all aspects of cabin systems and operations. Reporting primarily to the Chief Pilot for the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flight duties, the SIC also takes direction from the assigned Pilot in Command (PIC) for specific duties during each scheduled trip.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pilot duties in strict accordance with the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and all other pertinent instructions.
  • Ensure company goals for safety, security, and quality are consistently met through continuous compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any recommendations or non-compliance observations via appropriate channels.
  • Execute post-flight duties, including ensuring the cleanliness of the aircraft interior, removing all debris from the cockpit and cabin areas, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the PIC.
  • Arrange and obtain required cabin items, including catering, for flights as identified by the Flight Operations Center.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
  • Coordinate all work schedules and schedule changes directly with the Chief Pilot.
  • Accurately log and report flight and duty times.
  • Report all commercial flying performed outside of the Company to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in Flight and Duty Time Records.
  • Maintain a valid First Class Medical Certificate and provide a copy to the Flight Operations Training Department by the twentieth (20th) of the month due.

Qualifications and Requirements:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-level priorities effectively.
  • Proactive decision-making capabilities.
  • The ability to maintain a valid First Class Medical certificate throughout employment.
  • A commitment to upholding a high service standard within a stringent and evolving regulatory environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must reside in or have the ability to relocate to the St. Louis, Missouri area.

Minimum Flight Experience Requirements:

  • Total flight time: 2500 hours
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 500 hours
  • Instrument: 150 hours
  • Jet: 250 hours
  • Turbine Engine: 100 hours
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Type rating in the CE680 series.
