Role Summary
As a NetJets Pilot (First Officer), this individual serves as a proud NetJets ambassador, ensuring technically accurate and safe transportation while providing an exceptional service experience for every Owner and passenger. Pilots command the industry's largest and most diverse private jet fleet, flying the world’s most influential individuals to desirable destinations across the globe. Key Responsibilities
- The Pilot (First Officer) is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi through landing for each flight, adhering strictly to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- The role involves greeting Owners and passengers pre-flight, conducting introductions, briefing them on the specific flight details, verifying the itinerary, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining any itinerary changes.
- The Pilot provides in-flight service, including handling and serving catering and alcohol as needed.
- Loading and properly stowing all baggage on the aircraft is also a required task.
- The Pilot must be capable of handling and conducting flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- This position acts as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational areas, including compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serving as a liaison for Owners and passengers with NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until their safe departure from the final FBO is crucial.
- The Pilot is responsible for properly communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the appropriate Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller and completing associated paperwork.
- Additional duties may be assigned depending on the specific assignment.

Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Certifications and Licenses
- Must possess a Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating in accordance with FAR 61.160.
- Must hold a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit is required.
- Must hold a valid State Driver's License.
Experience/Flight Time Requirements (IAW FAR 61.160)
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Possess at least 1,500 hours total flight time experience, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- Accumulated 200 hours of cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- Accumulated 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot In Command (PIC) time.
- Accumulated 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- Accumulated 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
- The FAA ATP written examination must be completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- Accumulated 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAOs)
- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Must be able to work varying hours, including day and night shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be extremely flexible and demonstrate the ability to adjust to rapid changes in schedule and duty.
- Must be able to effectively manage rest periods to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
- Duty periods may extend up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days consecutively and may involve operating across different time zones and extreme weather conditions during a single trip.
- While on duty, the Pilot may be away from home for seven or more days and nights, requiring stays in hotels.
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Must be able to pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) required background screening.
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression through effective interaction with passengers.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly when operating under pressure.
- Must demonstrate the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to work around animals, including their handling and care prior to, during, and after Owner flights.
- Must be able to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range:
$86,015 - $117,706
