The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 2500 hours of total flying time. A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with an FMS coupled to APFDS), or high-performance military jet is required. The candidate must have 500 hours specifically on the B777/B787 and be currently type-rated and current on the B777/B787. The pilot must hold a current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL; frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen. A current, unrestricted Class 1 medical certificate is mandatory. The maximum age limit for this position is 45 years old. Demonstrated English language fluency, both written and verbal, at Level 4 or higher is essential. In cases of flight hours accumulated with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted toward the required minimums.
