Compensation and Benefits

Etihad Airways offers a highly competitive annual compensation package for its pilots, comprising a basic salary, flying pay, housing allowance, and layover/meal allowances. Earning potential can reach up to AED 513,732 (approximately USD 138,318) tax-free per annum based on a standard flying schedule (75 hours per month). Key Responsibilities

As a pilot, the incumbent will be responsible for executing flights in strict adherence to the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions. When the Captain is not at the controls, the pilot will notify them of any deviations or changes to the flight plan, Air Traffic Control instructions, or geographical position upon the Captain's return. The role includes assisting the Captain with necessary administrative duties related to the flight and ensuring the safe navigation of the aircraft through continuous and independent checks of geographical position, terrain clearance, and weather conditions. Pilots are expected to maintain the highest personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance at all times, representing Etihad Airways professionally.

Qualifications and Requirements

Prospective candidates are required to meet stringent criteria to be considered for this position. Essential qualifications include:

• A minimum of 2500 hours of total flying time.
• A minimum of 1500 hours accumulated on multi-crew, glass cockpit (defined as aircraft with an FMS coupled to APFDS), or high-performance military jet aircraft.
• A minimum of 500 hours specifically on B777/B787 aircraft.
• Current type rating on B777/B787 aircraft.
• Demonstrated experience flying B777/B787 aircraft within the preceding 12 months.
• Possession of a B777/B787 type rating with a minimum validity of two months remaining at the time of joining.
• A current and unrestricted ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). Frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
• A current and unrestricted Class 1 medical certificate.
• Candidates must be a maximum of 50 years of age on the date of joining.
• English Language Fluency (written and verbal) assessed at Level 4 or higher.
• For hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimums.
