Etihad Airways Seeks Experienced Co-Pilots to Join Our Team
About the Role:
Etihad Airways is seeking highly motivated and experienced co-pilots to join our expanding team. The co-pilot plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our flights. Reporting to the Commander, the co-pilot will share responsibility for the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and security for the aircraft and cargo, assuming responsibility in the absence of the Commander.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Etihad's Operations Manual, applying its guidelines to all aspects of flight operation.
- Provide administrative support to the Commander as required, ensuring the smooth execution of all flight-related tasks.
- Uphold a professional and disciplined crew environment, supporting the Commander in maintaining appropriate conduct and appearance standards.
- Execute flight duties in accordance with Etihad's policies and procedures, as delegated by the Commander.
- Guarantee the aircraft's safe navigation, constantly monitoring its geographical position and ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
- Conduct flights adhering to the approved flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Commander's instructions, assuming control when the Commander is not at the controls and diligently communicating any deviations.
- Offer timely and pertinent advice, information, and assistance to the Commander, contributing to a safe and efficient flight operation.
- Maintain impeccable personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance, serving as a representative of Etihad Airways at all times.
- Be prepared to assume command of the aircraft in the event of Commander incapacitation, taking on the responsibilities of the highest-ranking co-pilot assigned to the flight.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2500 hours total flying time
- Minimum 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit, or high-performance military jet aircraft
- 500 hours on any Boeing aircraft
- Current on any Boeing aircraft
- ICAO current and unrestricted ATPL (Frozen ATPL not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen)
- Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate
- Maximum age of 50 years old
- English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or better
- For hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimums
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: AED 18,000 per month fixed pay
- Variable Pay:
- Flying Day Rate: AED 1,080
- Other Operating Day Rate: AED 500
- Layover (Hotel & Transportation) provided
- Monthly Productivity Pay:
- < 12 days: 0 AED
- 12-13 days: AED 2,475
- 14-15 days: AED 3,700
- =>16 days: AED 6,180
- Annual Performance Incentive:
- < 150 days: 0 AED
- 150 - 159 days: AED 6,300
- 160 - 174 days: AED 9,450
- =>175 days: AED 16,500
- Annual Leave: 2 working days per month worked, with a minimum of 12 operated days required (capped at 20 days per year)
