Co-Pilot Opportunity with Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways is seeking a qualified and experienced Co-Pilot to join its growing team and contribute to its ambitious plans for global expansion. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of aircraft, passengers, and cargo, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo.
- Maintain thorough familiarity with Etihad’s Operations Manual to execute duties professionally and safely.
- Assist the Commander with administrative duties related to the flight.
- Support the Commander in maintaining crew discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
- Execute flight duties according to Etihad’s operating policies and procedures as assigned by the Commander.
- Confirm the safe navigation of the aircraft, independently verifying geographical position and ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
- Conduct flights in compliance with the current flight plan, SOPs, and the Commander’s instructions when the Commander is not at the controls, and subsequently notify the Commander of any changes.
- Provide advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to contribute to the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Maintain high personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways.
- Assume command in the event of Commander incapacitation, if holding the highest-ranking Co-Pilot position on the flight.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
- Minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with an FMS coupled to APFDS) or high-performance military jet.
- Minimum 1000 hours on A330, A340, A350, or A380.
- Valid type rating on any Airbus FBW (valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining).
- Current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL (Frozen ATPL not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen).
- Experience flying any Airbus FBW within the last 12 months.
- Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
- Maximum age limit of 50 years old.
- English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or higher.
- For hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimum.
