Co-Pilot - Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Co-Pilot to join its flight operations team. The Co-Pilot is responsible for the safety and security of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo onboard, and assumes command in the absence of the Commander.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains familiarity with Etihad’s Operations Manual and adheres to all necessary procedures to fulfill duties professionally and safely.
- Assists the Commander with administrative duties related to the flight, as requested.
- Supports the Commander in maintaining a high standard of crew discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
- Executes duties concerning the flight in accordance with Etihad’s operating policies and procedures, as allocated by the Commander.
- Confirms the safe navigation of the aircraft, continuously and independently verifying the geographical position of the aircraft and ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
- Conducts the flight in compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Commander’s instructions when the Commander is not at the controls. Subsequently notifies the Commander of any changes to the flight plan, ATC directives, or geographical position upon their return.
- Provides timely and pertinent advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to contribute favorably towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Maintains a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance, representing Etihad Airways professionally at all times.
- In the event of Commander incapacitation, assumes command as the highest-ranking Co-Pilot assigned to the flight.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time is required.
- Must have a minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with a FMS coupled to APFDS), or high-performance military jet.
- A minimum of 1000 hours should be on one of the following aircraft: A330, A340, A350, or A380.
- Type rating on any Airbus Fly-By-Wire (FBW) aircraft should be valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
- Must possess a current and unrestricted ICAO ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License). Frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
- Must have flown any Airbus FBW aircraft within the last 12 months.
- Must hold an unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
- The maximum age limit for this position is 50 years old.
- Must demonstrate English Language Fluency (written and verbal) at Level 4 or better.
- For hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimums.
Salary & Benefits:
- Fixed monthly salary of AED 26,000.
- Flight duty allowance:
- 1-6 years of service: AED 40 per block hour
- 7-10 years of service: AED 56 per block hour
- Meal allowance during layovers:
- Middle East/GCC/Sub Continent: AED 12 per hour
- Asia/Far East: AED 15 per hour
- Africa/Australasia: AED 18 per hour
- Europe/Americas: AED 23 per hour
- Housing allowance up to AED 160,000 per year.
- Education allowance of AED 40,000 for primary and AED 55,000 for secondary, for up to 3 children.
