Pilot Training Analytics Co-op Opportunity at Delta Air Lines
About the Role
Delta Air Lines is seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Co-op to join the Training Analytics team within Crew Resources. This individual will play a key role in leveraging data to elevate the Pilot Training Experience for Delta's 16,000+ pilots. Working closely with teams responsible for the development, design, and delivery of all pilot training programs, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the future of aviation training.
Key Responsibilities:
  - Learner Insights & Advisory:  Deepen the understanding of pilot training experiences by analyzing learner feedback, conducting research, and championing their needs before, during, and after training. This includes tracking pilot performance against feedback to identify potential gaps in training programs.
- Learner Analytics: Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support modifications to existing training curricula and the development of entirely new programs. Create cross-divisional reports that measure training performance and effectiveness, refresh existing dashboards, and develop new widgets and dashboard views.  Contribute to the expansion and refinement of topic modeling programming to enhance accuracy, identify emerging themes, and uncover new topics.
- Learner Experience Strategy & Integration: Provide support for the development of long-term strategies, encompassing pilot training journey mapping, touchpoint identification, expansion of Listening Posts, standardization of surveys, and implementation of new data collection methods.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  - Demonstrated interest or experience in data analysis and coding, preferably SQL.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Current enrollment in a full-time bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Unwavering commitment to prioritizing the safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
  - Experience in performing statistical analysis and modeling, including linear regression, segmentation, non-linear predictive regression, operations research, and/or machine learning.
- Experience with coding software such as SQL, SAS, C, Python, VBA, or R.
- Coursework in statistics, data science, computer science, operations research, or marketing.
Co-op Rotation Schedule:
The selected candidate must be available for the following co-op rotations:
  - Spring 2025
- Fall 2025
- Summer 2026
