How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Pilot Resources is looking for an Analytics Leader to lead the design, development, and preparation of highly complex analytical studies and presentations to support improvement in the Crew resources, crew operations and financial performance. An ideal candidate will be result oriented person with deep data analytics experience. The candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills and feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The role will support the analytics behind Crew Resources initiatives, projects and programs.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and automate Crew performance reports and dashboards.
+ Identify new data sources for performance and analytics reporting.
+ Perform data engineering and validation to create data assets for the teams.
+ Present findings to Crew resources leaders as well as senior business unit leaders.
+ Lead high-visibility, high-impact analytics projects for Crew resources that improve overall divisional and company performance.
+ Engage in ongoing analysis, using data to enhance rotation construction, and crew bid processes.
+ Influence Crew Organization’s overall performance of the division.
+ Responsible for managing multiple projects and priorities at the same time while balancing individual and conflicting priorities, aligning resources, and maintaining relationships with peers and internal customers across the Company.
+ Adapt to shifting priorities by learning unfamiliar topics quickly, manage individual priorities to ensure project deadlines are met.
+ Establish and maintain relationships with peers and customers within Crew, FOP, IFS other divisions.
+ Promotion of safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/management, mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative field;
+ or 5+ years of experience in analytics, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field;
+ or Masters degree plus 3+ years of relevant work experience required.
+ Strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
+ Advanced level of understanding and experience with Python, SAS, SQL, or other database interface tool. Tableau/PowerBi experience desired.
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
+ Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and multi-task.
+ If transferring internally, must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
+ Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
