Job Summary
Cirrus Aircraft is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sales Support Pilot to enhance its dynamic Sales and Marketing team. This critical role focuses on the meticulous planning and expert execution of product demonstrations, providing essential event support, and strategically collaborating with Regional Sales Directors to develop and expand their territories. The Sales Support Pilot will be instrumental in showcasing Cirrus Aircraft's innovative product line to prospective clients and driving sales growth. This position necessitates extensive travel.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Support Pilot will perform a range of duties vital to achieving sales objectives and supporting market development:
- Territory Prospecting and Development: Identifies and qualifies retail prospects in underserved markets through thorough background research, assessing their needs, financial condition, and key personnel. Develops and qualifies leads within Vertical and Emerging Markets, leveraging Cirrus Marketing’s technical sales and promotional resources.
- Sales Presentations: Prepares and delivers effective general and special purpose sales presentations on Cirrus products, articulating their unique value proposition to potential clients.
- Event Planning and Execution: Plans, organizes, and executes a variety of regional events and promotional activities, ensuring alignment with territory health and business plans. Develops creative event concepts and themes that strategically support organizational goals.
- Product Demonstration Excellence: Coordinates the logistics and flawless execution of product demonstrations, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and compelling for potential clients.
- Strategic Collaboration: Works in close partnership with Regional Sales Directors to identify underdeveloped areas and capitalize on growth opportunities within their assigned territories.
- Performance Reporting and Analysis: Tracks and analyzes event performance data, providing insightful recommendations for future strategies and improvements. Prepares comprehensive post-event reports detailing successes and identifying areas for enhancement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree OR 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in Sales & Marketing.
- Possession of an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating.
- A valid FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Office applications, computer software, and internet usage.
- An outgoing personality with demonstrated expertise in developing strong interpersonal relationships.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability and willingness to travel extensively as required by the role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) rating is highly desirable.
- One year or more of prior experience in a sales or marketing capacity within the aviation industry or a related field.
