Aviation Logistics Specialist – CPKC
CPKC is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aviation Logistics Specialist to join its esteemed team. This critical role is designed to optimize and manage complex air cargo operations and intricate supply chains, ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of vital goods and components. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the operational excellence of a leading North American transportation network, playing a key part in strategic logistics planning and execution within the aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of air freight logistics, including meticulous scheduling, real-time tracking, and comprehensive documentation for global and domestic shipments.
- Forge strong collaborative relationships with internal departments and external partners such as airlines, customs brokers, and ground handling agents to enhance and streamline logistics workflows.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and service level enhancement across aviation supply chains.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to all international and national aviation regulations, trade compliance laws, and established company policies.
- Manage inventory and warehousing solutions for aerospace-related materials, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and efficiency in storage and retrieval.
- Innovate and implement effective solutions for complex logistics challenges, particularly those involving intermodal transportation seamlessly integrating air and rail networks.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Aviation Management, or a closely related discipline is required.
- A minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in aviation logistics, air cargo operations, or aerospace supply chain management is essential.
- Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of global aviation regulatory frameworks, including IATA, FAA, and Transport Canada guidelines, alongside international customs procedures.
- Exceptional analytical acumen, robust problem-solving capabilities, and superior communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced logistics software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant technological tools.
- Ability to thrive and perform effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure, and operationally diverse environment.
