Aviation Instructor - Flight & Simulator Training
Role Overview
An Aviation Instructor is sought to deliver comprehensive training across classroom, instrument ground trainer, simulator, and flight training activities. This pivotal role requires an individual who can impart essential aviation knowledge and practical skills within a dynamic learning environment, ensuring trainees achieve proficiency according to established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging ground and flight simulator training for trainees.
- Evaluate trainee progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure skill and knowledge acquisition meets SIMCOM standards.
- Maintain personal competency and all required instructional qualifications.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all interactions.
- Demonstrate a strong foundation of instructional knowledge and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
- Identify and assess customer training requirements, providing effective coaching and instruction.
- Implement creative and innovative teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
- Obtain and maintain applicable ratings and qualifications in an efficient and timely manner.
- Provide personalized and tailored instruction to maximize learning effectiveness and meet individual customer needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and conducive learning environment.
- Be prepared to provide instruction during hours of operation, aligning with customer training schedules and company policy, with compensatory time-off awarded as per the personnel handbook.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers, responding proactively and sensitively to individual needs with effective decision-making aligned with company mission and strategy.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A current Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate is mandatory for full-time employment.
- Multi-engine instrument ratings are required.
- A minimum of 1000 hours of dual flight instruction given is required.
- CFI/II Instruction experience is a prerequisite.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is highly preferred.
- A current FAA medical certificate is highly preferred.
- Experience with glass cockpit aircraft in an airline environment is preferred.
- Any loss of certificate privileges may result in permanent dismissal from the company.
