Instructor Pilot - Flight Simulation
CAE, a global leader in modeling, simulation, and training for civil aviation, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instructor Pilot to join our team. As an Instructor Pilot, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality flight training in a flight simulator and ground school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver flight training in accordance with regulatory agency standards, CAE approved curriculum, and customer requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and lead clients through their training programs.
- Provide simulator/flight or classroom instruction on one or more aircraft types for licensing, type ratings, internal training, certifications, and pilot qualifications.
- Conduct comprehensive pre and post flight simulator briefings adhering to CAE standards.
- Perform required administrative duties, including training record completion, recommending remedial training when necessary, and tracking instructional qualifications and activity.
- Contribute to the creation of curricula and courseware as a subject matter expert when required.
Qualifications:
- Hold or meet qualifications to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC Type Rating.
- Demonstrate a passion for teaching with strong communication skills.
- Possess basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
- Must participate in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Experience flying business aircraft is a plus.
- Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
- The physical dexterity required to perform tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (as many as 10 hours) with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, and twist and turn.
