Job Overview

Avera St. Luke's Hospital is actively recruiting for a dedicated Helicopter Pilot to join its esteemed Careflight program. This is a regular, full-time position involving rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, based in the United States of America.

Compensation and Schedule

Pay Range: $90,480.00 – $135,200.00 annually. The actual rate of pay will be determined by the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule: This position requires varied shifts, with a standard of 80 hours over a two-week period, accommodating a flexible rotating schedule.

Role and Responsibilities

The Helicopter Pilot is entrusted with the paramount responsibility of safely and efficiently conducting all Avera-requested helicopter missions. This includes meticulous pre-flight planning, adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manual requirements, and company policies. The pilot will ensure the safe conduct of flight operations from initial request to termination, demonstrating strong interdisciplinary skills and effective critical thinking to navigate dynamic flight environments. Flexibility to work at various Avera Careflight bases may be required.
