Avelo Airlines is seeking a dedicated Flight Crew Support Specialist to manage flight crew scheduling operations in alignment with safety regulations and operational demands. This full-time position is based at Avelo Airlines' operational hub.

About the Role

The Flight Crew Support Specialist is integral to the efficient functioning of Avelo Airlines' flight operations. This role involves the meticulous development and management of flight crew schedules, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations, including Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 117 and 121, as well as company policies and union agreements. The specialist will analyze crew duty times to guarantee compliance with legal rest requirements and proactively address schedule disruptions. Key responsibilities include communicating schedule changes to flight crews, liaising with various operational departments, and maintaining accurate records of crew assignments and qualifications. The role also requires proficiency in scheduling software and a commitment to supporting airline operations through effective planning.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
• A minimum of two years of experience in airline operations or a related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of FAR Parts 117 and 121 regulations, including Flight Duty Periods (FDPs), minimum rest requirements, and fatigue risk management principles.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by airline operations.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with NAVBLUE or comparable flight crew scheduling systems is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a Flight Attendant or in Airport Operations is considered beneficial.

Hourly Rate: $22
