Horizon Air is seeking dynamic individuals to join its team as Flight Attendants, based in Portland, Oregon, and various other locations throughout the West. About the Role
As the representative of Horizon Air, a subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, Flight Attendants are responsible for delivering a welcoming and authentic inflight service. This union-represented position requires a comprehensive understanding of inflight duties, safety procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and approachable demeanor with both guests and colleagues. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, preparing and serving meals and beverages, marketing onboard products, and resolving passenger situations calmly and effectively, including medical emergencies.
Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.

Uncompromising dedication to safety.

Body size must not exceed specific aircraft dimensions to safely operate equipment such as jump seats, harnesses, and navigate cabin aisles and emergency exits.

Ability to meet the company's grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.

Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of a flight attendant.

Willingness to serve alcohol.

Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.

Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Adaptability to perform a variety of duties and perform effectively under stress.

Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Minimum age of 21 years old.

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Must be able to fly unrestricted in and out of Canada and possess or obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to relocate to any of the flight attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.

Must attend and successfully complete four (4) weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.

Successful completion of a self-guided voice interview within the specified deadline (October 25 at 7:00 PM Pacific Time).
