Horizon Air is seeking a Flight Attendant to serve as the frontline representative of the airline, providing exceptional inflight experiences for passengers flying regionally throughout the West. This full-time, regular position is based in Portland, OR, with relocation opportunities to various flight attendant bases.

As a Flight Attendant with Horizon Air, the primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers while upholding the highest standards of service. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of inflight service duties and emergency procedures. The successful candidate will be an authentic and gracious host, dedicated to creating memorable experiences and fostering a positive environment for both guests and colleagues. Key Duties

Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations and verify the working order of safety equipment on aircraft.

Greet passengers, assist with seating, baggage stowage, and security checks.

Explain and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.

Prepare and serve meals, beverages, and onboard products, processing sales via mobile device.

Calmly manage passenger situations, including medical emergencies.

Respond to passenger inquiries regarding flight operations and destinations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

A minimum of two years of customer or community service experience.

Uncompromising dedication to safety.

Ability to meet company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards, including specific body size limitations for aircraft dimensions (e.g., jump seat, harness, cabin aisle, emergency exits).

Ability to demonstrate the physical capability to perform flight attendant duties.

Willingness to serve alcohol.

Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Adaptability to perform diverse duties and perform effectively under stress.

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States, and any necessary travel documentation for non-U.S. passports. Must be able to fly unrestricted into and out of Canada.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age of 21 years old.

Authorization to work in the U.S.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test as per Department of Transportation regulations.
Qualifications

Must be able to attend four (4) weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.

Candidates must complete a self-guided voice interview within 30-40 minutes. Ensure a quiet location is available for this assessment, which must be completed by October 25 at 7:00 PM Pacific Time.

Willingness and ability to relocate to any of Horizon Air's flight attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.

Adherence to the company's tattoo policy: No visible tattoos on the face, front of the neck, or chest. One tattoo no larger than a quarter is permitted per hand. Tattoos in other areas cannot exceed the size of a credit card or be offensive. Employees may have one tattoo per arm, leg, foot, back of neck, or behind each ear. Tattoos on the back of the neck and behind the ears are only permissible if not visible when looking directly at a person. Tattoos may only be covered with uniform pieces or approved jewelry/watches; makeup is not permitted for coverage.
