Position Summary: About the Role
The JSX Flight Attendant is instrumental in delivering a simple, reliable, and joyful experience for every customer, with paramount attention to safety. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of cabin equipment and controls, along with a deep understanding of assignments, functions, and responsibilities during emergency scenarios such as ditching and the evacuation of passengers requiring special assistance.
Key Responsibilities: A Day in the Life
A typical day for a JSX Flight Attendant encompasses a range of crucial duties, from routine operations to critical emergency preparedness:
- Pre-Flight Preparations: Ensuring the aircraft is meticulously cleaned, fully stocked, and prepared for customer boarding. This includes verifying the presence and proper working order of all emergency equipment, life vests, oxygen masks, and other essential supplies.
- Boarding and Pre-Departure: Conducting or verifying comprehensive safety briefings, securing the cabin, and confirming aircraft readiness for departure with the Captain.
- In-Flight Service and Vigilance: Providing attentive service to both customers and crew while maintaining constant vigilance and preparedness to respond effectively to any situation that may arise.
- Emergency Response: Applying thorough training to remain calm, confident, and ready to assist with professionalism and care in both routine duties and emergency scenarios.

Qualifications
Essential Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct, face-to-face customer service experience.
- Strong verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a Flight Attendant.
- Proficiency in speaking and communicating in another language.
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:
- Possession of a current and valid Driver’s License.
- Possession of a current and valid Passport.
- Minimum age of 21 years at the time of application.
- Height requirement: Must be between 5’0” and 5’8” without shoes, due to specific aircraft dimensions.
- Ability to sit comfortably in the assigned jumpseat without the need for an extension or modification.
- No visible tattoos or body piercings.
