Avelo Airlines is actively seeking highly motivated and service-oriented Flight Attendants to join its esteemed team. This vital role supports a dedicated charter program for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), facilitating both domestic and international flights critical to DHS operations. Key Responsibilities
Safety and Security
- Ensuring the utmost safety, security, welfare, and comfort of all passengers and crewmembers.
- Responding effectively and safely to a comprehensive range of in-flight emergencies.
- Contributing to the seamless and efficient operation of all aircraft and flight schedules.
- Completing all incident and safety reporting requirements with timely documentation.
Inflight Service Excellence
- Cultivating a positive and caring passenger experience from boarding through deplaning.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for passenger concerns, developing creative solutions.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of and strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and all applicable laws and procedures in operational locations.
- Attending all required training and consistently maintaining necessary qualifications.
- Upholding a thorough understanding of company materials, including the Inflight Service Manual, Flight Attendant Playbook, and OneCrew Way Handbook, staying current with all revisions and bulletins.
Team Collaboration and Leadership
- Embodying the company's "One Crew" value by fostering cooperation and effective teamwork with all operational crewmembers and Avelo leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements
Prospective candidates are strongly encouraged to reside in close proximity to their assigned base. This position operates under a reserve schedule, requiring flexibility for local day trips and potential overnights. An ability to report to the airport within two hours of notification is essential.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Possession of reliable transportation and the capability to report to the assigned location within two hours.
- Successful completion of all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to a base assignment at the crewmember's own expense following training.
- Availability to work a rotating schedule with variable hours, including duty days up to 16 hours, nighttime operations, weekends, holidays, and multiple consecutive days away from home.
- Presentation of a neat, professional appearance and demeanor, adhering strictly to prescribed Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Full compliance with all DOT, FAA, and Avelo Airlines regulations concerning drug and alcohol policies for safety-sensitive transportation employees.
- Willingness and ability to serve all types of food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.
- Maintenance of a current and working telephone number for contact and prompt filing and updating of residential address with the company.
- Possession of a valid United States passport (or foreign passport with applicable VISAs) with at least six months of remaining validity prior to application.
- Legal authorization to travel freely in and out of the United States, to and from all Avelo Airlines-served cities without restriction, including Canada.
- Fluent understanding, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in English.
- Capability to perform all duties and responsibilities as outlined in company manuals and as assigned by the flight captain or Avelo leadership.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Vision corrected to 20/40 (with glasses or contact lenses).
- Ability to physically lift 50 pounds from ground to waist height.
- Capacity to walk forward down the aircraft aisle without impeding the comfort of seated passengers.
- Ability to be securely fastened in a jumpseat using all provided belts and restraints, without the need for a seatbelt extension.
- Maintenance of balance while walking and standing during flight.
- Endurance for prolonged periods of standing, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, and crouching.
- Ability to push or pull aircraft doors/exits or food/beverage carts with a force up to 100 lbs.
- Capability to assist passengers requiring aid during an evacuation.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting Salary: $28 per hour
Monthly Guarantee: 75-hour minimum
Lead Pay: $2.00 override when serving in the lead position.
Per Diem: $2.25 per hour when on duty at the airport or flying.
Additional Pay: Premium pay and holiday pay applicable as per company policy.
