Job Title: First Officer – Fairchild SA227

Ameriflight, LLC, the nation’s largest Part 135 cargo airline, is seeking a qualified First Officer to operate the Fairchild SA227. As a leader in outsourced aviation services, Ameriflight supports a diverse portfolio of major cargo integrators, manufacturers, and freight forwarders. Candidates will contribute to a fleet of over 120 aircraft, delivering reliable service across the United States.

Position Overview

The First Officer will perform non-scheduled charter operations under FAR 135.267 flight time and rest requirements. This position requires a 12-month domicile/position lock and may be based in Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) or El Paso (ELP), depending on company operational requirements. The expected schedule is three weeks on and one week off (Monday–Friday), with mandatory availability for one weekend per rotation.

Requirements

  • Total Time: 500 hours; Pilot-in-Command: 350 hours; Cross-Country (point-to-point): 300 hours; Night: 50 hours; Instrument: 75 hours (minimum 50 hours in aircraft); Multi-Engine: 25 hours.
  • Possession of a Commercial Pilot License (Multi-Engine Land) with Instrument rating.
  • Required endorsements: High Performance and Complex.
  • Required certifications: CFI rating and FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Documentary requirements: Valid Passport, First Class Medical Certificate, and a valid Driver’s License meeting company insurance criteria.
  • Must successfully pass a TSA security background check and meet airport badging requirements.
  • Must be English proficient and possess unrestricted authorization to work and travel internationally in and out of the U.S.
  • Instrument Proficiency Check completed within the previous six months.
  • Strongly preferred: 300 hours of dual-given experience.
