Position Overview
A distinguished aviation organization is actively seeking a highly experienced and professional Boeing 737NG Instructor Pilot. - Provide expert subject matter knowledge to customer pilots regarding the operation of the Boeing 737NG aircraft, as dictated by client requirements.
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Boeing 737NG aircraft when necessary, based on customer directives.
- Assist with comprehensive pre-flight planning, including weather analysis, fuel computation, weight and balance calculations, and route assessments, as required by the customer.
- Ensure strict compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Public Use Aircraft regulations.
- Facilitate seamless coordination with ground crew, air traffic control, and dispatch to guarantee punctual departures and arrivals.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections to confirm airworthiness.
- Uphold and enforce company safety protocols, as well as procedures for irregular operations and emergencies.
- Maintain currency in company aircraft and strictly adhere to all flight department policies and procedures.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
To ensure success in this critical role, candidates must possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
- A valid Boeing 737NG type rating.
- An unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a multiengine rating. Alternatively, former military pilots may present a Commercial Pilot certificate with an instrument rating and an FAA-issued B-737 type rating.
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
- Multi-Engine Instructor Certificate (MEI).
- Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII).
- A minimum of 2,500 hours of total pilot time. Former military pilots operating multiengine aircraft (not limited to centerline thrust) may qualify with 1,500 hours. This total must include:
- 250 hours of night flight time.
- 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time, with at least 50 hours flown in actual flight.
- A minimum of 500 hours of turbojet experience is required, with at least 100 hours of turbojet flight time logged within the past 12 calendar months. Of these 100 hours, a minimum of 50 must have been in a turbojet aircraft or a Level C or D simulator.
- 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command time in Jet Aircraft acquired within the preceding three (3) years.
- 300 hours of Pilot-in-Command experience specifically on the B-737NG.
- 350 hours of turbine engine instructor or check pilot time.
- A minimum of a Second-Class Medical Certificate.
- A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from a four-year college or university is considered advantageous.
- Prior experience as an Instructor Pilot within the U.S. Military is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will meet the following physical demands and work environment characteristics essential for performing the job functions:
- Flexibility to work irregular hours is essential. While primary work is Monday through Friday, including 2-3 days of flying up to 8-hour missions, some weekend work and overnight flights may be required. All flights are within CONUS (Continental United States).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including flight bags and operational equipment.
- Sufficient strength and dexterity to operate aircraft controls, doors, and emergency systems.
- Good vision (correctable to 20/20) and hearing, meeting FAA standards.
- Capacity to remain seated for extended periods while supporting flight operations.
- Work environment is primarily onboard aircraft, with periods spent in airport terminals and operational facilities.
- Exposure to varying ambient conditions during pre-flight, flight, and post-flight activities.
