737 Instructor Pilot (Part-Time) - 18214
AAR is seeking an experienced and professional Instructor Pilot to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role requires availability for ten flying days per month, with approximately four hours of flight time per assigned day. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of flights, strictly adhering to all company policies, aviation regulations, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise to customer pilots regarding the operation of the Boeing 737NG.

Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Boeing 737NG aircraft as required.

Assist with pre-flight planning, including weather assessment, fuel requirements, weight and balance, and route analysis.

Ensure full compliance with FAA and Public Use Aircraft regulations.

Coordinate with ground crew, air traffic control, and dispatch for timely flight operations.

Perform pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections to verify airworthiness.

Maintain adherence to company safety protocols, irregular operations, and emergency procedures.

Maintain currency in company aircraft and follow established flight department policies.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Boeing 737NG type rating.

Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multiengine rating (former military pilots may possess a Commercial Pilot certificate with instrument rating and FAA B-737 type rating).

Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

Multi-Engine Instructor Certificate (MEI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII).

Minimum 2,500 hours total pilot time (1,500 hours for former military pilots operating multiengine aircraft not limited to centerline thrust).

Specific flight experience requirements: 250 hours night, 75 hours actual or simulated instrument (minimum 50 hours actual flight), 500 hours turbojet experience (100 hours in the past 12 months, including at least 50 hours in aircraft or Level C/D simulator).

500 hours as Pilot-in-Command in jet aircraft within the preceding three years.

300 hours Pilot-in-Command time on the B-737NG.

350 hours turbine engine instructor or check pilot time.

Second-Class Medical Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited four-year institution.

Prior service as an Instructor Pilot in the U.S. Military.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position involves primarily working onboard aircraft, with some time spent in terminals and operational facilities. Candidates must be able to work irregular hours, including some weekends and overnights. Essential physical requirements include:
