Job Title: Group Swim Lesson Instructor

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is seeking a part-time Group Swim Lesson Instructor to join the Aquatics Team at the Advocate Good Shepherd Club in Barrington, IL. This position involves approximately 10 hours of work per week.

Role Overview

The Group Swim Lesson Instructor is responsible for delivering effective and safe swim instruction to adults and children in both private and small group settings. The successful candidate will design individualized programs tailored to the specific interests, abilities, and goals of each participant.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert swim instruction to a diverse range of participants.
Develop customized lesson plans to meet participant needs.
Ensure the safety and engagement of all individuals during aquatic sessions.

Requirements

Minimum age of 17 years.
Strong swimming background with proficiency in all swim strokes.
Must obtain Adult & Child CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute within 30 days of employment.
Must comply with the seasonal influenza vaccination requirement during the Fall.
Previous experience as a swim instructor, particularly with children and in both private and group environments, is strongly preferred.
