Aspiring candidates must strictly adhere to the following mandatory criteria prior to consideration for this critical pilot role.

Minimum Mandatory Requirements for Pilot Candidates

To qualify for the Operator Conversion Course (OCC) and secure a position as a Vueling pilot, applicants must currently possess or commit to obtaining the following essential credentials:

  • Certification: Candidates are required to possess a current Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL), whether frozen or unfrozen.
  • Medical Standard: Maintenance of an unblemished EASA Class 1 medical certificate is compulsory.
  • Experience: Must demonstrate a minimum of 200 factorized Vueling flight hours.
  • Language Proficiency: Achievement of, or exceeding, ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 is non-negotiable. Verification of this proficiency level is required prior to the commencement of the Operator Conversion Course.

Highly Desirable Qualifications

While the requirements listed above are mandatory, the following qualifications will significantly enhance a candidate's application and provide a distinct advantage in the selection process:

  • Type Rating and Experience: Favorable consideration will be granted to candidates who possess substantial previous experience in terms of flight hours.
  • Airbus Operation: Current operational experience or a previous type rating on one of the following specific Airbus models—the A320, A330, or A340—is highly advantageous.

Vueling is an equal opportunity employer committed to safety and professional growth in aviation.
