About the Role:
The Aviate Sourcing and Pilot Recruiter plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of United Airlines by identifying, attracting, and recruiting top-tier candidates for the prestigious Aviate program. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, capable of representing the United brand and the Aviate program to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates from Aviate partner flight schools, universities, and Part 135 operators.
- Plan and participate in career fairs, campus visits, flight line visits, and interview preparation sessions (both in-person and virtual) to engage with potential candidates.
- Articulate the value proposition of the Aviate program, highlighting United's initiatives, core values, and brand promise to large audiences.
- Guide potential candidates and current program participants, providing comprehensive information about the Aviate program and pathways to becoming a United Airlines pilot.
- Analyze partner data to identify trends and collaborate with team members to develop impactful recruiting strategies that address staffing needs and outpace industry trends.
- Partner closely with the Pilot Hiring team as candidates progress through the application and interview stages.
- Maintain timely and professional communication with candidates, responding to inquiries and offering support throughout the application process.
- Contribute to special projects, including the creation and updating of presentations for partner launches, visits, and industry events.
- Represent United at Aviate partner launches, industry events, and community recruitment initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 6 months dedicated to recruiting.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet browsers, along with demonstrable knowledge of social media platforms like LinkedIn.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proven ability to assess candidate skills, qualifications, and attributes quickly and accurately.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of the interview process.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in coordinating and attending career fairs.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging presentations to large audiences.
- Prior experience in aviation recruiting.
- Familiarity with Salesforce.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $59,700 to $87,560, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
