Position Summary:
Flight Attendants serve as United Airlines' global ambassadors, prioritizing the safety and comfort of customers while upholding the highest standards of service. This role requires individuals who are passionate about helping others, adaptable, and thrive in a dynamic, customer-facing environment. United Airlines currently boasts a team of over 28,000 active Flight Attendants and is experiencing unprecedented growth. No specific college degree or specialized schooling is required, as comprehensive training is provided by the airline.

- Fulfills reserve assignments, often on short notice, and may be away from base for multiple days.

- Serves and/or sells food and beverages (including alcohol) in a diligent and professional manner.
- Assists customers with luggage, operates essential safety equipment, and manages service carts.
Training Program:
New Flight Attendants participate in the industry's leading Initial Training program. This intensive 6.5-week course is conducted in Houston, TX, focusing on United's stringent safety and service standards. Upon successful completion, trainees are assigned to one of United's base locations. While relocation funds are not provided, trainees receive a weekly stipend, dual occupancy hotel accommodations, and two meals per day during training. A $1,000 bonus is awarded to successful training graduates.
Compensation and Benefits:
The position offers a competitive compensation package, beginning with a starting hourly flight pay of $28.88. The top of the base pay scale reaches $67.11 per hour. Pay increases are seniority-based, with additional compensation available for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. This role is also eligible for bonus compensation, including profit sharing.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED. Two or more years of college education is preferred.
- Have at least one year of customer service experience in a service-related industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, food service, teaching/education, aviation, social service).
- Must be able to speak clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner, with sufficient volume to be heard in emergency situations.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to speak and read Hebrew fluently.
- Possess the ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Effectively communicate during high-stress situations, including emergencies, security threats, and severe weather.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to excellent grooming standards, including uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines.
- Tattoos are not permitted on the head, hands, or neck (including behind the ear). Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, and feet must be no larger than a credit card (3.5" x 2.24") or covered by uniform pieces. Visible tattoos must not contain offensive content.
- Decorative covers, adornments, or jewelry on teeth or in the mouth are not permitted.
- Be proficient in operating electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops) required for job tasks.
- Must possess a valid US passport book or foreign passport book with applicable visas prior to application. The passport must be in good condition, physically held by the applicant at the time of application, and have at least 18 months of remaining validity. Pending passport applications do not fulfill this requirement.
- Be eligible to travel globally without restrictions to all countries served by United Airlines. Applicants are responsible for verifying their travel eligibility to enter and exit these locations as a working crew member.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, stretching, reaching, lifting heavy objects (e.g., luggage to overhead bins), and pushing/pulling a beverage cart (up to 250 lbs.).
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment (combined 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal simultaneous reach without shoes) necessary to operate aircraft equipment.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule supporting a 24/7 operation, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Onboarding and Pre-employment:
Selected candidates must successfully complete:
- A water evacuation drill during training.
- Pre-employment DOT drug screen and randomized drug screens (marijuana is prohibited).
- Comprehensive background checks and fingerprinting.
- Vision and hearing tests meeting FAA and United Airlines requirements.
- A 10-year background check; background history must not prohibit travel to any United destination (e.g., strict regulations regarding DWI/DUI in Canada).
