United Airlines is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join its team as Flight Attendants. Responsibilities:

- Fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and remain away from base for extended periods.

- Serve and/or sell food and beverages (including alcohol) in a diligent and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- High school diploma or GED required; two or more years of college preferred.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a service-related industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, social services).
- Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and loudly enough to be heard in an emergency.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding).
- Must be able to read and speak German fluently.
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Effective communication skills, particularly in high-stress situations such as aircraft evacuations, security threats, delays, medical emergencies, severe weather, and turbulence.
- Professional appearance, excellent grooming standards, and willingness to adhere to uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines. Tattoos are NOT permitted on the head, hands, or neck, including behind the ear. Visible tattoos on the arms, wrists, legs, and feet must be no larger than a credit card / employee badge (3.5 inches long x 2.24 inches wide) or must be covered with standard uniform pieces and must not be offensive. Decorative covers, adornments and/or jewelry on teeth or in the mouth are not permitted.
- Proficiency in operating electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops).
- Valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
- Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions. Flight attendant applicants are responsible for identifying and verifying travel eligibility.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects (such as luggage), and push/pull a beverage cart (up to 250 lbs.).
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment with a combined 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal reach.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule in support of United’s 24/7 operation (weekdays, weekends, holidays, etc.).
- Successful completion of an evacuation drill in water (pool) during training.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens. Medical and recreational marijuana use is prohibited.
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check, including criminal background history that does not prohibit travel to or from anywhere United flies.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour, with top of base scale at $67.11/hour.
- Seniority-based pay increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), vacation, and sick time.

- $140/week stipend, accommodations, and two meals per day during the 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX. A $1,000 bonus is awarded upon successful completion of training.
