Position Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Simulator Flight Instructor for Global Flight Training Standardization to join its distinguished team in Miami, Florida. This pivotal onsite position is crucial for advancing instructor standardization across Boeing's worldwide training campuses and for supporting a growing international portfolio focused on Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBTA) instructor training for external customers. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, encompassing proficient written and verbal abilities, complemented by strong active listening, to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality aviation training globally.

Position Responsibilities

The Senior Simulator Flight Instructor will undertake a comprehensive range of critical duties, including:

• Acquiring and meticulously maintaining all requisite Boeing instructor qualifications for a minimum of one aircraft model.
• Undertaking global travel to support customer instructor training programs, with deployments potentially extending up to four weeks at a time.
• Leveraging prior Boeing instructor experience on at least one aircraft model to ensure continuity and excellence in training delivery.
• Expertly leading and facilitating highly engaging briefing, debriefing, and classroom sessions.
• Acting as a distinguished and professional representative of the Boeing brand within the international aviation training industry.
• Mentoring and coaching fellow instructors through comprehensive qualification processes and ongoing professional development.
• Proactively collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide insightful input and constructive feedback, thereby driving continuous improvement and strategic change within training methodologies.
• Rigorously evaluating and assessing trainee progress through the effective application of competency-based frameworks and observable behaviors.
• Championing global instructor standardization efforts, providing crucial coordination at the Miami campus in close partnership with other Boeing global training centers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Candidates must satisfy the following fundamental requirements:

• Possession of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Transport Pilot (ATP) Rating or a military equivalent.
• Demonstrated and extensive experience as a simulator instructor, specifically specializing in transport category airplanes.
• Proven ability and willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally on short notice for periods encompassing up to 50% of the time, in support of critical program objectives.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Ideal candidates will additionally possess the following advantageous qualifications:

• A minimum of 1000 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) flight time.
• Proven experience as a Pilot Simulator Instructor in Transport Category Aircraft within a commercial airline or an established training center environment.
• Experience with, or a strong willingness to embrace, Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBTA) courseware delivery, to include comprehensive student and instructor tutoring, and assessment of competencies.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency with modern instructional tools such as an iPad, various courseware media, and classroom technology, ensuring the training environment is meticulously prepared in advance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is also highly desired.

The estimated salary range for this position is $112,200 – $151,800. Final compensation will be determined by the candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as prevailing market and business considerations.

Travel Requirements

Extensive domestic and/or international travel on short notice, potentially up to 50% of the time, may be required to support critical program objectives.

Shift Information

This position primarily operates on a first shift schedule; however, variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, may be required to meet dynamic program demands.
