This position reports to the Miami Head of Training and is responsible for providing Boeing approved flight training courses to airline customers from around the world at the Miami campus. The ideal candidate will possess expertise with transport category airplanes and a passion for instructing in a formal, simulated environment.

Position Responsibilities:

The Simulator Flight Instructor performs and leads simulator and ground school instruction across various types of training on company platforms. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring appropriate regulatory and/or customer certification and licensing with necessary endorsements are maintained, compliant with local country aviation regulatory requirements.
• Designing and developing aircrew training material to meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Developing and maintaining training plans to ensure company, customer, and regulatory requirements for skill, knowledge, training, and authorizations are upheld across multiple product platforms.
• Conducting training for customer pilots and ground-based simulator flight instructors.
• Mentoring trainees as needed.
• Assessing trainee progress and performance by completing all required reports and records to facilitate third-party evaluation and audit.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Candidates for this position must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a current commercial license with a multi-engine rating.
• Be willing to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Possess the ability to travel domestically and/or internationally on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Ideal candidates will also possess some or all of the following:

• FAA Air Transport Pilot Rating or Military Equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience as a training device/simulator instructor.
• Five or more years of experience flying transport category aircraft (or equivalent).
• Accumulated 1000 hours of Pilot in Command time.
• Experience as a Pilot Simulator Instructor, Pilot Line Check Airman in Transport Category Aircraft, or Military equivalent.

Additional Details:

This role primarily operates on the first shift, though variable shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to meet program objectives. This position is a US-based job, and meeting export control compliance requires a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Summary Pay Range (Level 4): $112,200 – $151,800. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
