This pivotal role is responsible for providing exceptional personal service and ensuring the safety and comfort of aircraft passengers during flight aboard a Global Express aircraft. The ideal candidate is a flexible team player, willing to embrace additional responsibilities to deliver unparalleled service around the clock. A passion for food and significant culinary experience are required, with advanced culinary training highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver superior service to clients, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort throughout all flight phases.
- Direct and assist passengers effectively during emergency situations.
- Administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED, as needed.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations by securing the cabin before takeoff and landing.
- Provide reassurance to passengers during turbulence or other unsettling flight conditions.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight briefings for passengers.
- Manage on-board inventory, ensuring sufficient supplies including food, beverages, linens, reading materials, and emergency equipment are available for each trip.
- Perform bespoke shopping for specific passenger requests.
- Maintain the pristine condition of the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck through diligent inspection, cleaning, and stocking after each flight leg.
- Execute periodic cabin checks to ensure continuous passenger comfort and cleanliness.
- Accurately complete pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
- Operate aircraft audio and video systems.
- Operate all features of the Cabin Management System (CMS), galley equipment, and cabin configurations (e.g., berthing seats, converting divan).
Qualifications:
- Possession of current First Aid Training Certification (CPR/AED).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) applicable to cabin operations.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience serving as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Completion of flight attendant-specific initial training from recognized providers such as FlightSafety or FACTs is preferred; annual recurrent training is required. Candidates without formal initial training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial training before flight assignment. Preference is given to candidates who have completed relevant training within the past 12 months.
- Demonstrated technological proficiency.
- Exceptional flexibility and patience are essential.
- Proven culinary skills and completion of culinary-specific training are mandatory. Advanced culinary training is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage a dynamic and frequently changing schedule, including late-night flights.
- Availability to respond to flight assignments on short notice (typically 2-3 hours when on standby).
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, subject to health and visa status.
- Capability to undertake deployments lasting up to 16 consecutive days.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
- Experience caring for small children is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires meeting specific physical standards essential for the safe performance of duties aboard an aircraft:
- Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better. Ability to read reports, use electronic devices, and manage paperwork.
- Hearing/Speaking: Adequate hearing and clear speech for effective communication in person and over aircraft systems.
- Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk unassisted; capable of standing for extended periods (up to 14 hours) with limited sitting; able to work long hours in various climates.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Ability to maneuver in confined spaces and access luggage compartments.
- Lifting/Strength: Strength sufficient to operate the main cabin door (up to 130 lbs force) and repeatedly lift supplies weighing 25-30 lbs from floor to waist height. Ability to perform fine motor skills for writing, typing, operating devices, and preparing/serving food.
