Solairus Aviation is actively seeking a skilled and professional Full-Time Challenger 650 Captain based at the KBED airport in Bedford, MA. This role involves operating a Challenger 605 aircraft. Essential Responsibilities

The Challenger 650 Captain is primarily responsible for the safe operation of the Challenger 605 aircraft. This includes conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to all relevant procedures and regulations. Key duties encompass:

  • Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft prior to flight.
  • Performing thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Conducting a comprehensive check of weather conditions and facilities along the planned route and at designated airports, including alternates.
  • Ensuring all flights are conducted in strict compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, the aircraft, and crew members throughout each flight.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork following established procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

  • Total Time: 3000 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC: 500 hours
  • Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 500 hours
  • Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

Required specific qualifications include:

  • Holding a type rating on the Challenger 605 or a comparable aircraft.
  • Possessing a current First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to work effectively on an on-call basis as required by operational needs.
  • Capability to complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
  • Establishing a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KBED or demonstrating a willingness to relocate.
