Challenger 650 Captain - Bedford, MA

Solairus Aviation is actively seeking a skilled and professional Full-Time Challenger 650 Captain based at the KBED airport in Bedford, MA. This role involves operating a Challenger 605 aircraft. Essential Responsibilities

The Challenger 650 Captain is primarily responsible for the safe operation of the Challenger 605 aircraft. This includes conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to all relevant procedures and regulations. Key duties encompass:

Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft prior to flight.
Performing thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
Conducting a comprehensive check of weather conditions and facilities along the planned route and at designated airports, including alternates.
Ensuring all flights are conducted in strict compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, the aircraft, and crew members throughout each flight.
Accurately completing all required trip paperwork following established procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

Total Time: 3000 hours
Pilot in Command (PIC): 1500 hours
Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC: 500 hours
Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 500 hours
Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

Required specific qualifications include:

Holding a type rating on the Challenger 605 or a comparable aircraft.
Possessing a current First Class Medical Certificate.
Ability to work effectively on an on-call basis as required by operational needs.
Capability to complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
Establishing a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KBED or demonstrating a willingness to relocate.
