Captain, Challenger 605 - Bedford, Massachusetts
Jet Aviation seeks a qualified and experienced Captain for a Challenger 605 aircraft based in Bedford, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will report to the Lead Captain and will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring adherence to all company operating policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The Captain will exercise Pilot-in-Command authority on all assigned flights and holds the ultimate responsibility for the flight's safe conduct.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining departure times and routes, and making decisions regarding flight cancellation based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure complete compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Institute necessary changes due to en route conditions, ensuring the flight continues under appropriate guidelines.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure a thorough understanding with the Second-in-Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Record aircraft discrepancies on the discrepancy log and report them to the Director of Maintenance or designee. Determine if inoperative items can be deferred or require repair, completing the discrepancy log accordingly.
- Verify that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and is mentally and physically fit.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or instructed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from authorized agencies.
- File flight plans with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the destination airport and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the applicable security program.
- Conduct passenger safety briefings or assign the duty to the Second-in-Command.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second-in-Command to prepare them for Pilot-in-Command duties.
- Complete and send the leg manifest and End of Day (EOD) report to operations control.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on safety issues and report all hazards and concerns.
- Report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety immediately.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally.
- Other duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet time.
- 1500 hours Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Valid driver's license.
