Pilot in Command – Citation XLS/XLS+
Location: Full-Time – Omaha, NE
Jet Linx is actively seeking qualified Pilot in Command candidates to operate Midsize jet aircraft, specifically the Citation XLS/XLS+, for both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate is expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of their designated home base.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command is responsible for the preparation and execution of safe and efficient company aircraft operations. This role requires strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations and established company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Citation XLS/XLS+ Type: 250 hours
- PIC Time in Citation XLS/XLS+ Type: 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
- Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
Essential Functions
The Pilot in Command will perform duties including, but not limited to:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Managing and maintaining electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensuring the currency of navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Holding and maintaining a current First Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills.
- Embodying and demonstrating Jet Linx’s core values in all interactions.
Other Requirements
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in the Citation XLS/XLS+ type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current passport.
- Holding an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or demonstrating the ability to obtain one.
- Holding a First Class Medical Certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Work is primarily conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for team members. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary is determined based on geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), and the candidate’s relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
