Solairus Aviation is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Full-Time Challenger 605 Captain to join an established operation based at KPWK airport in the Wheeling/Chicago, IL area. Position Overview:

The Challenger 605 Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring all flights are conducted in accordance with the highest standards of safety, company policy, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the safe operation of the Challenger 605 aircraft during all phases of flight.
  • Conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner, including thorough review of aircraft maintenance status, performing detailed pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual, and conducting complete checks of weather and facilities along the planned route and at destination/alternate airports.
  • Adhering strictly to the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers, as well as the safety of the aircraft and crew.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork in compliance with current procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3000 hours Total Time.
  • A minimum of 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • A minimum of 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL).
  • A minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine Land Pilot in Command (MEL PIC).
  • A minimum of 500 hours in Turbo Jet aircraft.
  • A minimum of 250 hours Instrument time.

Specific Requirements:

  • Must hold a type rating for the Challenger 605 or a comparable aircraft.
  • Possession of a current First Class Medical certificate is required.
  • Ability to work effectively on an on-call basis is essential.
  • Successful completion of annual ICAO International procedures training is mandatory.
  • Primary residence must be within a two-hour drive from KPWK airport, or the candidate must be willing to relocate to the area.

Compensation:

Solairus Aviation offers competitive compensation based on market conditions and various factors including geographic area, experience level, equipment type/aircraft, assigned job duties, training requirements, and the specific account. Salary ranges for crewmembers are typically between $50,000 and $500,000.
