Position Overview

Solairus Aviation is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Challenger 300 Captain to join its dynamic aviation operation based at the KDAL airport in Dallas, Texas. Key Responsibilities

The Challenger 300 Captain will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Challenger 300 aircraft. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensuring the secure and prudent conduct of all flights in strict adherence to company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Thoroughly reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status prior to each flight.
  • Conducting comprehensive pre-flight inspections in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM).
  • Performing a complete assessment of weather conditions and available facilities along the planned route, including all intended and alternate airports.
  • Guaranteeing the safety and comfort of all passengers, the aircraft, and the flight crew at all times.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation according to current procedures.

Required Qualifications

A. Flight Experience:

  • Total Flight Time: A minimum of 3,000 hours.
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 1,500 hours.
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: A minimum of 1,500 hours.
  • Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC) Time: A minimum of 500 hours.
  • Turbojet Time: A minimum of 500 hours.
  • Instrument Time: A minimum of 250 hours.

B. Certifications & Skills:

  • Possession of a current Type Rating for the Challenger 300 aircraft or a comparable business jet.
  • Must hold a current First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to operational demands.
  • Capability to successfully complete annual ICAO International Procedures training.
  • Primary residence within a two-hour driving distance of KDAL (Dallas Love Field) or a willingness to relocate to the area.

Salaries for Solairus crewmembers typically range from $50,000 to $500,000 annually, influenced by factors such as geographic area, experience level, specific aircraft type, assigned job duties, specialized training, and the nature of the operational account.
