Second in Command (SIC) - Super Midsize Jet Pilot
This esteemed aviation organization is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced Second in Command (SIC) candidates to operate its Super Midsize jet aircraft. This pivotal role involves conducting safe and efficient flight operations under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and operational excellence within a dynamic flight environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates Super Midsize jet aircraft as Second in Command, ensuring strict adherence to all company policies, Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Meticulously manages duty, flight, and rest times to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines, prioritizing crew well-being and operational safety.
- Maintains continuous and effective communication with company operations, providing timely updates on standby duty assignments, trip notifications, accurate position reporting, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reports.
- Provides critical support to the Captain in all aspects of flight operations, including thorough pre-flight planning, diligent in-flight duties, and precise post-flight procedures, contributing significantly to the overall safety and efficiency of each mission.
- Actively participates in safety management systems and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational standards.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Prospective candidates must demonstrate the following minimum flight experience and operational readiness:
- Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land Time: 500 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Aircraft Time: 100 hours
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to reside, or willingness to relocate, within a two-hour call-out timeframe from the designated home base.
- Strong understanding of Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations and associated regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, fostering a collaborative cockpit environment.
- A strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and unwavering adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Possession of a valid FAA Airman Certificate with appropriate ratings.
