Second in Command - Challenger 300/350

Jet Linx is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Second in Command for its Super Midsize jet aircraft fleet. This role supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Successful candidates are expected to reside within a two-hour call-out radius of the home base or be willing to relocate to meet this requirement.
Position Summary
The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This role is critical in preparing for and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. The SIC performs duties in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and established company procedures, contributing significantly to the overall safety and success of flight operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Time: 150 hours
Essential Functions
The Second in Command is responsible for:
- Effectively managing duty, flight, and rest periods in compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company operations center, including receiving standby duty assignments, trip notifications, providing position updates, and submitting pre- and post-flight reports.
- Managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and ensuring all required applications are current and operational.
- Verifying that all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are up-to-date and readily accessible.
- Maintaining a current First Class medical certificate at all times.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making capabilities in all operational scenarios.
- Upholding and exemplifying Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions and conduct.
Other Requirements
Candidates should possess:
- Initial or Recurrent training in type (Challenger 300/350) completed within the last 24 months (preferred).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Eligibility to work in the United States with proper documentation.
- A current passport permitting international travel.
- An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one.
- A current First Class Medical Certificate.
- An FCC Restricted Radio License.
- The ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and consent to random drug/alcohol testing as required by regulations.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to all European Union, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- The ability to authorize and pass a review of their FAA Pilot Record Database with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operational demands.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Comfort working in and around aircraft and aviation terminals.
- The physical ability to move up to 50 pounds frequently.
