Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Challenger 350 Captain holds primary responsibility for the safe, efficient, and prudent operation of the Challenger 350 aircraft. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring all flights are conducted in strict accordance with Solairus Aviation's rigorous policies and procedures, as well as all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Key duties entail:

• Ensuring the safe operation of the Challenger 350 aircraft on all assigned missions.
• Conducting comprehensive pre-flight inspections in strict adherence to the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Thoroughly reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status prior to each flight.
• Performing a complete assessment of weather conditions and available facilities along the planned route, including all designated primary and alternate airports.
• Verifying that all flight operations align seamlessly with Solairus Aviation's operational standards and all pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Maintaining paramount focus on the safety and well-being of all passengers, the aircraft, and the flight crew.
• Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation in accordance with current company procedures.

Required Qualifications

Prospective candidates for the Challenger 350 Captain position must meet the following minimum flight experience requirements:

• Total Flight Time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land PIC Time: 500 hours
• Turbo Jet Time: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

• Current Type Rating on the Challenger 350 aircraft or a comparable business jet.
• Possession of a current First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
• Ability to operate on an on-call basis, demonstrating flexibility to meet dynamic operational demands.
• Capability to complete annual ICAO International Procedures training as required.
• Primary residence within a two-hour drive of Opa Locka Executive Airport (KOPF), or a willingness to relocate to the area.
